Protective Coating

Protective coatings are a simple way to reduce corrosion, by limiting the exposure of the metal to a corrosive environment. A protective coating is a layer of material applied to the surface of another material to prevent corrosion. A protective coating can be metallic and non-metallic and are applied by various methods and can be used for many other purposes, in addition to preventing corrosion.
